Hey, my name is Emily! I am 16 years old. Singing, dancing, acting, modeling and playing the guitar are my main interests and I am self-taught in all of these areas. I am active in my high school singing group, Voices in Motion, and am part of my high school Drama Club and Forensics team. In August 2008, I began to teach myself to play the guitar and it has become my passion. My dream is to become a respected and recognized singer and songwriter and/or to work with the Disney Channel.
If I am given the opportunity to become a well-known singer, I would like to contribute my time and money toward finding a cure for a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. My sister, Molly, was diagnosed with SMA when she was eight months old. It is one of the 40+ neuromuscular diseases and I do not want to see any child suffer from this debilitating disease.
